Doc's Cottage - Ocean Views

Doc's Cottage is a neat and tidy 3 bedroom 2 bathroom Holiday Home. It is located across the road from the beach, Harold Park, play ground and has magnificent ocean views. Wanting a seaside holiday without the hefty price tag, then this property is for you.

This quaint cottage is steeped in history and was relocated from Cottesloe to Lancelin and is over 100 years old. Features of this property include, wall air conditioning in main bedroom, ensuite to master bedroom with bath, dishwasher, fireplace and ocean views. Sit on the front porch and watch the sunset. This property is within walking distance to both the Lancelin Tavern and the Lancelin Beach Hotel.

Lancelin is attractively nestled between a large, safe bay with 2 large islands and extensive sand dunes, the town is a worldwide recognised venue for Windsurfing and Rock Lobster fishing.

The bay of Lancelin is by far it's best feature. The calm waters of this bay are beautiful and water activities dominate the town's leisure activities.

A very popular town for people who live in Perth as a short coastal break.

  Terrible stay, complained to no avail, about noise roof sheets banging all night, got no sleep and left stay early despite paying over 350 per night, no help at all with complaint. Rubbish. Don’t stay here.

    You stayed at Docs on the weekend of a massive storm unfortunately we cannot control the weather or the gale force winds. Docs cottage is a weatherboard house and is one of the longest standing houses in the area. It will make noises in the wind. Docs is also one of our most popular hoses being booked most weekends.

  Had a very relaxing girls weekend, location was fantastic, great porch area to have a few drinks and nibbles while watching the world go by. Property is clean and well equipped, only downside was the room with the single beds, these definitely need to be replaced and also the 3 seater settee in the living room area. But all in all a fantastic stay and would definitely stay again.

  The house is in a fabulous location. However unfortunately for us we were unaware that the annual dawn service was being held across the road. So, especially as the walls are not brick, it was a very early wake up on our holiday. Not what we were expecting or wanting. The beds were comfy and the house had everything we needed. The neighbours can also be a bit noisy.

  Docs Cottage is in a fantastic location in Lancelin, right opposite the beach. The cottage itself is a lovely original quaint home, with a comfy cozy feel. The kitchen is well stocked for your self catering needs with plenty of plates, cups, glasses and big platters available for entertaining. The beds were comfortable and there were spare blankets on hand (it was winter when we stayed)

  It was a lovely old cottage which was built in 1918.Some of the floors boards were making a lot of noise , one of the master Bed Room Basin tap was leeking a lot. Other than that our stay was a very pleasant stay and the Accommodation was very Central and right at the front of the beach.

  Beautiful character cottage in prime location opposite park and beach. It had a homely feel. Ensuite tap and toilet need repairing. Tap leaked and the toilet kept running. Loved the front deck to watch the sun set over the ocean. Can walk to town and the pub easily. Would stay there again!

  Had a lovely 4 night stay. The cottage is in the best location but needs a few basic updates. Time to update the single beds and some of the outdoor furniture. Some of the issues mentioned in a June review, still not addressed. Advertised as pet friendly but check that the fence panels have been fixed if you are taking your dog. The garden around the shed needs a clean up. More snake friendly than pet friendly at the moment. Be prepared for bugs as hard to completely seal an old house. That said, a very relaxing time and it really is the best location.

  Great position walking distance to beach, shopping centre, Hotel, Tavern. Wonderful outlook and view from veranda. Quaint cottage. Perfect if have boat, surfboards, kayak. Unfortunately ensuite toilet cistern needs replacement and tap in ensuite leaks if not turned off very tightly. Table on veranda broken since our last visit so needs replacement.

  Loved the blue cottage. Charming and rustic. The location was amazing opposite a park and down to the beach. Close to the dunes, shops and the Dunes cafe. This is it’s selling feature! The house though needs a good handyman to fix kitchen door hinges, toilet flush button in main ensuite, a few raised nails on front patio, dishwasher wasn’t releasing capsule. The sleep out needs to have the chipped empty bookcases removed including

  I only had the pleasure of three nights, but it was the perfect chilled out get away. Wifi was great as I had to study but I had plenty of time to enjoy beach walks, local pubs and cafes, chase the ace and jenga was fun at the tavern and if you got tired of the sunset from the cottages front deck the beach hotel is spectacular. The bed was comfy and love being able to have a bath!

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Doc's Cottage as we were brought up in Cottesloe and spent our youth holidaying with family in Lancelin so this house was very special for us. The outside shower to be used after the beach and the hose for washing down the kayak very appreciated and useful. The only suggestion we have is maintenance on the doors and door locks to make the house more secure and make it easier to close the front fly door. The position half way between the tavern and the hotel is great and the view from the verandah spectacular
