Ledge Point is a charming fishing village located 10 minutes drive south of Lancelin. Ledge offers beautiful sugary-white beaches stretching for as far as the eye can see. The village was established to service the local cray fishing industry and has evolved into a beautiful beach-side getaway. Ledge offers an interesting mix of traditional and modern beach house, chalet, caravaning and camping accommodation.

This part of WAs coast is recognised internationally as one of the great windsurfing venues. In January each year they hold the prestigious Ledge Point to Lancelin Ocean Classic, which draws enthusiasts from around the world.

Sport and entertainment in the village centres on the Country Club, with its golf course, bowling greens and tennis facilities.

Just south of the village is where the Dutch East Indies ship, the Vergulde Draeck, or Gilt Dragon, went down after striking reefs in 1646. Some 70 mariners were marooned ashore, never to be rescued.

  The property is well equipped and suited our family. I would suggest the installation of Air Conditioning in the all the bedrooms or at least ceiling fans. The lack of airflow in the evenings made it a little uncomfortable to sleep.

  House has everything you need, really well

  We had the best time at Sheoak on Wedge! The house was clean, well-equipped with everything. No need to BYO baking paper or cling wrap, for example. There’s an even games cupboard. And the backyard is so shady and secure, perfect for young kids like mine.
  The beach is a 5 minutes walk, general store about 10. Great location.
  The property manager is easily contactable, responsive, lovely and so helpful.
  My only minor gripe was no where to hang clothes, so bring your own coat hangers and hang off hooks that are on the backs of the doors, if you’ve got a shirts or dresses.
  We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to others. The 4th bedroom is separate to the rest of the house, with its own entrance (and it’s huge) so would suit grandparents, another couple or a teenage retreat. The second bathroom is also added on with an outside entry, which is fantastic for showers after returning from the beach so you don’t drag sand through the house.
  Thanks for a wonderful property, I particularly enjoyed the garden and foraged the herbs for our meals and garnishes on cocktails. :)

  Enjoyable stay in a lovely location. The property was neat and tidy however be aware towels and bed sheets and not provided. Guests must provide their own or arrange beforehand for these to be provided at extra cost. We did not realise this upon booking, and as such this was an inconvenience for us. We also were not provided the check in details until after the time/date of check in. We were making phone calls and waitimg around on the day of checkin for communication of this information. Other than those two issues our stay was great. Nice quiet seaside town and there are various other places to explore only a short drive away.

  My husband and I with another couple thoroughly enjoyed our relaxed stay at Ledge Point in CVHH's house.The house had everything that a home away from home could want. Short drive or a longer stroll to the beach for fishing, fantastically maintained 9 hole golf course that proved to challenge our boys,there is a bowls club too, lovely pub meal at the country club, close to Lancelin or Seabird for a drive for lunch. Altogether a fabulous 3 days!

  A lovely, well kept house in a great location. Pictures don’t do it justice, very homely and characteristic, nice big back yard and ocean views. You can walk to everything, 2 mins walk to the beach. We would love to go back!
